ABOUT  SEAN

I am an artist based in Tipperary, Ireland. I have been drawing since a very early age and have worked in many different mediums. I have had my work featured on magazine covers, album sleeves, clothing, The LA Times and on national TV. I also taught calligraphy for a time but my real passion is portraiture. So where does the name The Art Of The O'Prez stem from? Well, I was given the nickname The O'Prez many years ago in rockabilly circles and it stuck!

I specialise in pencil portraits drawn from photographs and give each commission my undivided attention. I use carbon pencils, charcoal pencils, kneaded erasers, highlighter pens, powders, blending stumps and a lot more besides. These mediums give your portrait a rich, matte finish. Once complete, I use a fixative to protect your artwork from smudging. The paper stock I use is 170 gsm white art paper. I find this particular medium lends itself perfectly to the photorealism I try to create and adds a certain vibrancy to the finished portrait.

A portrait is a very unique gift for your loved ones or indeed for yourself. I take great pride in my work and have built up an excellent reputation over the years. You could say it's my passion. I like to put that passion into your portrait to give you a one-of-a-kind piece you will treasure forever.
